Elephant Room Studio was founded in New York City, on October 2014 by Motion Picture Animation Director, Executive Producer Swain Fuller. Swain wanted to combine his training and love of animation with his training and love for the fine arts. In particular, Swain enjoyed studying the works of great painters from various time periods like: Claude Monet, Franklin Booth, Winslow Homer, Rembrandt, John Singer Sargent, J. M. W. Turner Joseph Mallord William Turner, known as William Turner, and Studio Ghibli background painters Kazuo Oga, and Nizo Yamamoto and others…

The vision of Elephant Room Studio is to blur the lines between animation and fine art. The great animation works of Walt Disney, Winsor McCay, William Hanna & Joseph Barbera, Osamu Tezuka, Katsuhiro Otomo, and Hayao Miyazaki, as well as many others were a great influence in the design, and animation style.
With fine art, and animated film as the background the Elephant Room Studio team creates majestic full length motion picture animated films, and animated tv series. Although we are open to do animations as commercials for clients, it is not our focus.

Furthermore, we wanted to add to the legacy of great literature by making sure that each motion picture animation is based on carefully crafted original written works in the genres of fantasy, adventure, journey, and science-fiction. We chose these genres to turn into content because they allow us to create amazing city-scapes, landscapes, and inspired worlds.
